How to stop overeating

There are a number of people who feel defeated in their diet and feel that they have absolutely no control over food.



But remember this, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗬𝗢𝗨!



First things first, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙗𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜! But it starts with knowing that 𝗬𝗢𝗨 hold the power and it starts with the decision to defeat it.



𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘁?



𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 6 𝒕𝒊𝒑𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈

  1. 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. Your body reads hunger and thirst the same, therefore if you are not drinking enough water daily you may actually be thirsty. If you continue to eat without rehydrating with water, you actually may be eating more than you need because you are misreading thirst for hunger.

  2. 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝟴𝟬% 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹.This puts you in control of food. Instead of allowing food to control you, you now have a stopping point where you know you’ve had enough.

  3. 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀. Pausing between bites will help you digest your food and gauge your level of comfort, which will help you determine if you’re truly eating because you’re hungry or because it taste so darn good. If it’s the latter then, slow down sis…

  4. 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲. Putting smaller portions on a regular size plate will help you psychologically feel like you haven’t eaten enough, although the portion sizes are enough. Therefore filling up a smaller plate with the correct portion sizes helps you feel comfortable with your portion and will prevent adding extra food to your plate.
